Conference

The breadth and scope of the topics being discussed at the Mining Magazine Congress is beyond anything available at any other conference and represents a vast spectrum of industry insight and knowledge.

The programme highlights include papers on in-pit crushing and conveying (IPCC) solutions, which will represent the most in-depth discussion of this topic at a major event so far. Attendees will hear a large number of other key presentations on areas such as automation, optimising minerals recovery, latest technologies in drill and blast, and improving the efficiency of the mining cycle.

What is on offer is two days of very high-quality information from key product managers, engineers and consultants at the forefront of new technology development and evolution. For miners, it represents an opportunity to meet senior representatives from their suppliers, large and small, to debate how the operational part of the industry can move forward.

Mining Magazine Congress offers the operational mining industry and its suppliers a forum in which to share knowledge, innovative ideas on best practice, case studies and experiences, and new technologies and equipment.

The conference addresses the whole spectrum and the sessions will be organised around four themes:

Important areas of discussion within these themes will include:

- Automation – The future of both underground and surface hauling and loading

- Trolley assist vs conventional haul trucks

- In pit crushing and conveying – is fully mobile really viable

- Latest technologies in drill & blast

- Optimising the load haul cycle

- Hard rock cutting & rapid tunnelling

- Milling & grinding circuit technology

- Optimising minerals recovery

- Lifecycle management of capital equipment

- Fragmentation – improving the efficiency of the mining cycle

- Contract versus owner operator

This year, the Congress will place an emphasis on interaction and dialogue and will feature many more panel discussions and Q&A sessions within the programme.

The full conference programme will follow shortly.
